Tuesday, end of the day...

I love this heart.

It is at my parent's house and is from

Romania

from Rebecca and Mark.

The lace above is Dutch lace.

If I ever have a house with lots of windows,

I want to have Dutch lace too. :)

More Michigan pictures.

I now have 5 job positions in Ottawa (library related)

to apply for

(some are at the same place).

*

Finished the first draft for one

and started others.

*

Have to do the I-need-a-job-soon cover letters

and job searching as well.

Have one in the works right now...

I got a bit anxious this afternoon;
I am still learning to deal with this part of my life,
though I believe with God's help
I have made some real steps towards being more peaceful.
I think it was in part the adjustment to
my living situation
as it is right now.
*
I am glad that God's mercy is new every morning
and that I can always start again...

I get anxious, too, and for no good reason...this morning, I read this from George MacDonald's Diary of an Old Soul (I think) for January, which was encouraging, even though he is writing it about approaching death. But then, we are supposed to be remembering that at any age, as Orthodox Christians.

Sometimes I wake, and, lo! I have forgot,
And drifted out upon an ebbing sea!
My soul that was at rest now resteth not,
For I am with myself and not with thee;
Truth seems a blind moon in a glaring morn,
Where nothing is but sick-heart vanity:
Oh, thou who knowest! save thy child forlorn.

(and then this)
Sometimes, hard-trying, it seems I cannot pray—
For doubt, and pain, and anger, and all strife.
Yet some poor half-fledged prayer-bird from the nest
May fall, flit, fly, perch—crouch in the bowery breast
Of the large, nation-healing tree of life;—
Moveless there sit through all the burning day,
And on my heart at night a fresh leaf cooling lay.
