Step 4 - rain on Wednesday

Rain and wind all day today.

Out this morning and got groceries;

so grateful that uncooked shrimp has been on sale this week

6.00 off per bag.

I view this as a mercy of God -

affordable and right when the fast begins.

After three weeks of drama and sickness,

my house is just beginning to be in order again -

laundry and dishes are getting done.

Am dreaming of my sunshine and beautiful tree!
Insomnia still, dizziness from it.
I've gone through this before
but it is never what I would call
'a good time.'
*
But God is with us in the days of wind and rain,
and He is,
as Jane Kenyon says,
mercy clothed in light.

I just love the pictures you take! Glad to hear that everything is getting back to normal. It has been so cold here!

Mmmmm...yeah, shrimp on sale! We have been getting raw shrimp lately...so much better than the cooked stuff...you can do anything you want to with it. One of my fav dishes it to make it with coconut milk.

I just watched "Julie and Julia"...I think you'd like it.

Yeah, it is so much better raw, I can't imagine going back to precooked shrimp!

What else do you add to the shrimp or do you just use coconut milk?

I think I would like that movie... cooking is something inherently beautiful to do...

I love you are always able to see the positive things in life! May God continue to heal you and bring this blessings into your life.

If you like "Julie and Julia", do NOT read the book. It is pretty vulgar. The movie is much cleaner.

Thanks Michelle - well - if I did not work on thanksgiving daily I don't think I would still have my sanity, much less any hope of a spiritual life!!!

Thanks so much for words and the heads up about the book; really appreciate this.

Blessings to you as well!

I stocked up on shrimp from Loblaws as well! What great timing with the beginning of Advent!

Martha, I want to know too what else you put in with shrimp other than coconut milk.

We sauteed shrimp with garlic and dill on Tuesday when Vladika was here for a meeting... it was so good!!! We served it with rice pilaf made with onions and walnuts.
