Canadian Thanksgiving ~ A Special Sunday Dinner




























Canadian Thanksgiving Dinner!
It went well!
I did the Turkey at 325F for 2.5 hours, letting it rest about 30 minutes after. 
At 2 hours it was at 168F and the top was getting quite dark so I 
covered it with foil and put it back in.  
It could have been baked a bit less, but it was not overcooked (i.e. dry)
thankfully!!! It was the first time I did a bone-in Turkey breast!

The rest went well as well....I had it all timed, while the Turkey was resting,
I did the already roasted root veg + potato and Brussels sprouts,
first at 325 and then, about 10 minutes or so in, changed it to 350 in the
toaster oven as it was not roasting quickly enough.

The green bean casserole, the stuffing, the mashed potatoes,
these all went in the main oven. 
It all worked well.

Having everything prepared and the table set before hand really helped. 
***
And my Husband helped! He did dishes before the event,
prepared and then later lit the lampadas
and afterwards put away the food and helped tremendously with
loading the dishwasher!

I am very thankful for this Canadian Thanksgiving and pray 
that we all will be blessed and protected!
May God have mercy on us!

What a beautiful and delicious feast you prepared. And a beautiful table you both had a hand in setting. So glad to read that your Canadian Thanksgiving celebration went well.

Everything looks lovely! So much so, I can almost taste those dishes dishes beautifully displayed.
