Tea in Tins and an afternoon in NYC

I bought a new tin of tea yesterday.... Basically my own "get well present 🎁" for my convalescence after my foot surgery next Wednesday.

The hardest part of the preparation is just that I don't know how laid up I will be.  And no one can tell me because I guess the surgery is a bit unknown until it happens. The surgeon is quite experienced though so that's good.

I went to Harney and Sons and stocked up on tea and gifts 🎁

That's my pink cart in the picture ☺️

I had a pot of tea called "Death on the Nile" which was good!

For lunch I went to Tea and Sympathy
There's not much else I can do before my surgery. I am having a dinner party this Sunday which will be good.

May God have mercy on us 🙏

My philosophy tends to be "prepare for the worst, hope for the best. Personal experience with two surgeries this year is to expect to be incapacitated for up to a week. Two weeks is even better. That way any good days you have before that time will feel like a bonus! I pray you have minimal pain as you recover, Elizabeth. Your tea tins are so pretty.

The count down to surgery has begun. I hope all goes as well as it possibly can.
Those tea cans are so bright and cheery!! And your lunch looks delicious.

Yes, it's best to prepare as well as you can with enough books and other things to occupy your mind while you recover. And snacks. ;)
