Cranberry Chocolate Cookies for St Nicholas Day...and other such adventures

EDITED to add this picture and info (thanks Lisa!!!)

Baking time 10-15 minutes, @ 375F! I did them, vegan that is,
for about 12 or so minutes!

Got two double batches baked.
The first batch I must have gotten the margarine wrong
(or it was not liquid/soft enough?)...
it was too thick, falling apart on the cookie pan...
thankfully they still tasted good! Of course I had to check :)
We also enjoyed 2 cookies each just out of the oven, so very delicious!!
My boot was fixed and working! And only a zipper pull needed to be done! So glad.
I feel like I am processing some things that have come up and
am letting go of some things, sorry I can't be more specific,
just some internal adjustments that I am pondering and working through...
I had a really good talk with my Husband about them and am really glad
that I have him to talk to.
I am really liking Fr A. S's journals that I have been reading.
I am in year 1977 now and feel that he is cutting through a lot of
cultural confusion that was loudly fermenting and is now here in our world
in many new and very broken ways. I am really appreciating both his
understanding of the various cultural happenings but also
his ability to articulate why they are, at best misguided and wrong,
at worst destructive and soul-killing.
I am also appreciating how he sees that lots of meetings
to 'talk about things' as it were are not helpful in getting others
to change the (wrong) track/s or beliefs that they are grabbing on to.
Over the years, I have learned where I want to go (Orthodoxy, Christ) and where I don't
want to go in life and realizing what that means for friendships and where I put my trust.
It's an important thing as where one and who one trusts can lead to health or to destruction....
FYI, the Tolkien Letters I am reading out loud to Mr Husband can be found here.
I am so thankful for my life with my Husband and the life we are building
together... I see so many suffering and struggling and it reminds me of how
very blessed I am in my own life...
We watched 2 more episodes of the Walton's today...
the second one was hard to watch
(about the Trail of Tears) and the great suffering of those in the past
and also those now seemed so pronounced to me...
so many to care for, to pray for, to sorrow over...

It's wonderful that God cares about EACH person and that
there is always hope of redemption with Him...
Well, it's later than I meant to be up today so I better close now!
Praying that each of you is blessed and that we can all
follow Christ and be carried into His Kingdom!

I think I'd like to make those cookies, Elizabeth. Where is the recipe from? Is it online? They look good! :)

Hi Lisa, thanks for wanting to know about the cookies! See here: https://eroosje.blogspot.com/2014/12/baking-home-christmas-cranberry.html

The only thing I would add to this post is that I used 1/4 cup OJ for the milk + I no longer do anything to the cranberries, I put them in whole! they are really good indeed! You can use the recipe also as posted (thus no need for 1/4 cup OJ) ... I have made it that way for Christmas I think (hard to remember, I do a lot of baking! :) )

Thank you so much, Elizabeth! But how long is the cooking time? It's not quite in the photograph of your cookbook page.
