I really enjoyed English Air; it was one of the first DE Stevenson novels I read a few years ago. Roses are always lovely, I agree, and especially when they also have a strong fragrance.

Oh yes! I hope you sleep well. Maybe diffusing lavender essential oil would help?
Such a pretty rose, they are a joy.
I use a lavender spray for my husband and it does help him seep.
How gorgeous! My father had a rose garden and all summer there was a glass bowl with a rose in it on the kitchen table. And when company came there would be larger bowl with roses in it on the dining room table. Looking back I realize that I took those beautiful blooms for granted.
I'm between books, but that won't last long. I have a stack from the library to browse through. I love the non-fiction section! Always something interesting. Those roses do look fragrant. Hope you get some good rest. I need some too! :) I took a long nap today, but I think the pollen is my problem.
I feel like I can smell their fragrance!
