Balance

I love the idea of being a local artisan.
I will research.
I will also continue job searching;
I have networking, informational interviews and more cover letters to write.
I am going to look for books on card making.
I am glad I am a librarian.
Flower and Card research - Fun.

I love daylilies!

I think finding local craft fairs would be a good way to start fast - I had an etsy shop and all the trips to the post office sometimes got a little overwhelming, although I have been thinking about re-opening it lately. Etsy also has sooo many people selling that it's kind of like a needle in a haystack - but there are also new craft sites up as well, which I haven't yet tried. Keep us posted!

Thanks K... what did you sell on your Etsy shop? Yes, I will keep you all posted and thanks!

I agree with Meadowlark (which is often the case). I've not sold on Etsy, but I know that it is hard to do one or two cards at a time as there is often a glut. But, if you really work to advertise your Etsy on your blog, I think you'd have success - that and bundle the cards (five in a package, type of thing).

Come on over, I'll teach you how to make cards.

Thanks Mimi (I came over, you noticed?). Yes. I will have to see. The challenge is going to be balancing job searching and French learning with this.

I have some ideas for the cards and now have to figure out my options. :)
