This book was a delightful read

I really enjoyed this book.
It was given to me years ago,
by a kind person at my Ottawa parish, M.
It was just the right time to read this book.
It was well written and I needed to hear it's words.
***
I would of loved to read more about this family
as they grew and changed.
***
I am thankful that God has given me this book
to read... consoling strong words....

There's nothing like a good book -- especially a good book read at a good and proper time -- to cheer the spirit. This looks like a fine one; I'm glad you have it to help you on your road to recovery!

Hello Elizabeth, It has been a while since I have stopped by. I didn't spend much time on the computer this summer. I hope that you are completely recovered from your fall now but sorry to hear you have been fighting a cold. I am always looking for a new book to curl up with. I will take a look at this one. Thanks for sharing.

This looks like a great book. One I just read that I had read years ago was Papa's Wife by Thyra Ferre' Bjorn. I think you would really like it. It is based on the true story of a family of Swedish immigrants. There are several by her and I look forward to reading the others.
