A Lovely Apple Cake {that adults and kids alike love!}

I had some wonderful
Apple Cake last weekend.

So this weekend I made
apple cake for a dinner that Mr. Husband and I went
to on Sunday night.

I used Winesap apples.

I used a tube pan to bake the cake,
greasing the pan well first,
layering the cake in the middle with half of the
cinnamon and sugar topping.

Lots of topping and lots of apples!
Note that the batter will be thick and that this is as
it should be! :)

It was a super cute cake and baked up well!

It was quite a success ~
the three kids at the dinner we were at
clambered around the table for it!
It was lovely to share
this apple cake with friends
over a nice hot cup of tea!

That is the most appealing apple cake I've ever seen - I will have to try it instead of my usual recipe next time...but this week I've promised Hubby a pie!

Oh, how I wish my dear husband liked baked fruit. If I cut the pieces small enough, he'll try a bite...maybe. Such a beautiful looking and tasty sounding dessert! Thanks for sharing. And thanks, too, for the kind words on my "50" post today. :) Blessings, my friend, ~Lisa
