Pondering Self-Care

I read once of a Christian practicing what she called
'theology of an airplane',
as in this:
put your own oxygen mask on first before
helping your child or other person put on theirs.
I had thought of this as well, in these lines,
over the last few years.

It does take a while (years!) to figure this out, doesn't it?

Wonderful sound advice. It's taken me many years to learn this. I am learning this the hard way.

hi Elizabeth! I spent spent some time here catching up, and found your recent posts to be inspirational for me right now. The quote you list here is a gem; it is hard to sometimes keep that in mind, but it speaks to the truth if we come at it from an open, not conceited, place. I know I'm useless to everyone- including doing as God wishes ;)- when I am work down with worry and exhaustion. Wishing you a great day!
