Breathing Room

I enjoyed reading this novel Mrs. Lorimer's Quiet Summer by Molly Clavering.

It was just what I needed.

I am doing some toe exercises for part of my recovery. I can walk but can have some pain.  My toes are quite stiff and need exercises to get them to work properly as they have a hard time bending.

I am taking some days to enjoy the quiet.

I find I really need quiet quite badly.

May God have mercy on us 🙏

That looks like a delightful book. Unfortunately our library doesn't have it ( I just checked).
I enjoy my quiet days too. In fact I find I'm not listening to Christmas music as much as I have other years, preferring the house to be quiet.

I love my house to be quiet -- unless it is filled with the sounds of lively grandchildren. :-)

In the past, when it was filled with my own family, we often listened to music together. But nowadays, I rarely think of playing music, unless I am in the car.
