Mid-Summer Night's Dream ~ A Lovely Ball!

Our far-away church had their first ball!
I got my dress in Georgia at a consignment shop,
with my nieces giving fashion advice!
My Husband's tie was a gift from a lady (a teacher?) at an early graduation
years ago.... it's a lovely tie and I was so glad he wore it!
The food was lovely,
the Russian music lively,
the decorations perfectly done,
I was so happy to see so many young people having fun!
And it was nice to see various church friends, near and far, dressed up
for a happy event!
Personally it was a real confirmation that the former unbloggable +
blogged difficulties are over for us;
two years ago I went to the same place for a wedding reception
on this farm property, in this renovated but old beautiful barn, with a
newly broken foot/ankle and it was so wonderful to be back,
fully walking, happy and well!
It was a lovely time!
I am already thinking, as they hope to make this an annual event,
what will I wear next year? :)
Meanwhile, it was a wonderful event and I, as are so many others,
so proud of the young ladies who had the idea
and made it happen,
with the help of many others!

How lovely everything looks, including you in your pretty dress.
I've never been to a ball but I'm sure it would be a lot of fun.

Oooo....how LOVELY! Your dress is sooo beautiful! It's nice to be able to dress up once in a while, go to something lovely like this, good music, good food, good times... Sooo glad you had this fun! And how good to feel like some harder times are behind you. God is GOOD! :) ((HUGS))

What a beautiful dress, the colour is so gentle and I'm sure it suited you so well. I remember the Summer Balls we used to go to, always lovely to wear something special!
