In Your Charity, Please Pray...

My local priest is near or is 80 years old.
I had been concerned about his current health.
Sure enough, he has pneumonia. Please pray for him, his wife and children.

Eye Doctor Update: The 4 eye tests ALL showed that my eyes are not seeing as they should.
The doctor has 2 ideas of what is wrong, both things are diagnosed in part by genetic testing.
Both involve severe vision loss; one could lead to full blindness;
both are retina issues (as opposed to Cornea issues).
My Retina Specialist wants me to have genetic testing
to try to see WHAT one is what I have (or perhaps neither?).
The doctor wants me to go to one of the top ranked genetic labs
for ophthalmology and I have already called and have a doctor's name
and have left messages; my research indicates that this doctor is one of the best.
Whatever is going on, it is clear that something is wrong,
and very possibly beyond the myopic degeneration that my Retina Specialist has been,
before this, worried about. I am not, at this time, putting on social media
what the 2 possibilities are because I want to have more information
and more proof, etc. I can tell you that I have a very good doctor
and Thank God we have good health insurance. I don't take either blessing lightly!
I feel that there is no use putting out possible diagnosis on social media
but am happy I can ask for your prayers with the understanding
that I don't want to say "I have this" when we don't know
what I have and my very good Retina Specialist is not sure what I have.
Thank you everyone for your prayers and love!!!!
God is good and I trust in Him no matter what may happen in the future to my vision...
someone comforted me earlier by
reminding me of the hymn "Be Thou My Vision"
and this is the best thing I and anyone can focus on!

My Husband took me out to a restaurant in
walking distance and we both got burgers.
A wonderful treat on the Feast of Ascension.
***
I am humbled by those praying for me
as I feel I can never repay in full for such kindness...
I do pray that no matter what we find ourselves in,
that we will be found faith to Christ and in and under His mercy...
Lord have mercy on us!

I'm so thankful that you have excellent doctors ( and health care).
Hopefully a definite diagnosis will be determined and the next step decided on.
Love and prayers, GM
