So my seed stitch afghan is officially
now my textured stitch Afghan!
I kept ribbing by mistake and rather like
how it is turning out!
I am doing it with size 7 needles...
My new goal is to learn how to do what I intend:
when I want to seed stitch and when I want to rib
instead of merely because I mixed up my knits and pearls!
I am going to add one more red yarn to this mix and then
it will be 4 or so alternating colours like you see above.
I am really loving it!
I hope to add a border to it when it is finished.
I am thinking it may be a large lap blanket sized Afghan!

I finished Wilder's
By the Shores of Silver Lake last week
and just loved it!
I went to the Princeton Library booksale
last weekend and found the whole set in paperback!
I can't wait to read them all!

I have done the same as well! The colors are beautiful!!!
It is turning out to be lovely already! And those are such great books ... I reread them all last year and enjoyed them very much. :)
I think it looks lovely! And the colors look beautiful together :-)
And now it's your own design! It looks great so far. Enjoy the knitting!
I love it!
The blanket is so fun, and I love all the LIW books. They are the best!!
I love the colors for your blanket and mistakes - who cares? You're doing great! I just finished the Little House series and it was so different to read them as an adult - I took away so many different things that I had when I was young.
I love all the Little House books :-) Did you know there is a new autobiography of Laura Ingalls Wilder called "Pioneer Girl: The Annotated Autobiography"?
I think "textured" blanket is great! :)
I reread the LIW books about once a year. Looking forward to your opinion of the rest of them!
A happy mistake that made a beautiful new design.
beautiful afghan and I love how you changed the name, it's a lovely design and you invented it!
I like the colours of your lap blanket. And I dare to say, it looks even better with all that different stitches!
