each was really encouraging!!! 

BTW, I realized after posting and looking at my post again later,

that blogger is having a difficulty sending comments right now.

I noticed that gmail is offering a new look again and by the sounds of it

that is the cause of the problem (see here)

so I will be more deliberate in looking at my comments on my 

internal dashboard to try to see them all.

So at present it feels like I have a cold in my throat;

as in I have drainage like a cold that is bothering my throat but my

nose is oddly not yet impacted; I've had it before that a cold 

sneaks in round about and starts somewhere other than in my nose

so that's what may be happening (we will see) and if so,

I may be in for another week or so of this.

Boo :( ... so my throat is swollen I think because of the drainage at present

and I am fatigued as if I have a doozy of a cold. 

But your comments were honestly quite encouraging.

Thanks.  I know that when one is feeling under the weather

everything seems a bit harder to bear than normal

and things have been hard and so, I am glad I have friends who care!

I've been re-reading DE Stevenson which has been just right

and I realized I needed to add lemon and honey to my herbal tea

and have black tea as well as it cheers me up.

Well, other than this Deb P on IG (of Smitten Kitchen fame)

posted on Stories a fun vintage cookbook and I ordered it!

I did not know of this cookbook but they are part of the 1980s-now 

fame of NYC/East Coast/American cooking world (James Beard, Julia Child) I found out

with a small bit of research. So that's fun also as I love

reading about these cooks/chefs and the like.

I love reading cookbooks and have been loving this one all over again:

Marion Cunningham worked with James Beard

and this book (and The Supper Book) have so many

mouth watering recipes that I want to make! 

I used the above (The Breakfast Book) 

for the epic brunch I had for my goddaughter and her Mother

that I see I still have not blogged about but will try to do so

this week....

Anyway, please if you may pray that I am able to go to liturgy tomorrow

as our local priest is going to be honoured for 55 years of service + marriage and 

I missed vespers with the Bishop (who will return tomorrow DV) so that I will

have more strength to go tomorrow...

I am more resolved again to patience, 

as I wrote on social media earlier today:

This [sickness] is another lesson in the many 

layers of learning to be more patient. 

Our Good Lord knows that I need the lessons

 even when I have to make myself be thankful, 

for I do know that patience brings inward peace,

 ultimately as all of the fruits of the Holy Spirit, 

the parts of love (1 Corinthians ch 13) do.

Home with a head cold

Ended up having

super bad insomnia

and came down with a head cold.

The change of weather can do this as well.

So lots of resting today.

I hope to go to work tomorrow as I don't have

a lot of sick days being less than 2 weeks into my new job.

*

I have a bit of contract work to do also,

which I am really happy about as I love the work

and it will go towards a plane ticket home

to see my sister and brother

later this year.

They've been in Romania 2 years now!

I will of course try to maintain a life/work balance.

*

I know I am in a bit of transition and so my blog

posts are bound to be at times

not as many

and at times a bit

up-and-down in emotion and feel.

Just have to ride the job newness and changes out...

Job Offer!

My friend and I asked the prayers of

St. Phanourios

and this morning I got a call saying I may be getting

a job offer, was I still interested?

*

Late this afternoon I got another call saying

I was officially offered the job.

Unless I get another job offer,

or totally lose peace over it,

I will take the job.

Please pray for me for wisdom as I make

the final decision.

It's been over 2 years since I had full time work.

*

It would be exciting to see my life starting to turn

around and have this hard period over.

Of course there will be new challenges ahead

but I know that God will be there

to meet them with me.

today/friday - another interview over

Interview Over.

I think it went well.

They wanted my references.

I liked them.

The one month contract via job agency

already is over as a current possibility.

I ended up taking a taxi to the interview

(glad I did, the busing it would of been hard but

was easy on the way back;

even saw some older Dutch ladies who I talked to,

was great to hear the Holland Accent :) ).

While I was taxiing to the interview the job agency

sent out a consent to send resume form

which I did not get until I was back

and they had already submitted what they had.

so sorry and all.

Goodness what a roller coaster this all is.

Meanwhile,

God's Mercy is Deep Enough

The interview went well,

Thank God!

I was able to be at part of liturgy at the Cathedral this morning

before the interview

and was able to ask especially the Mother of God's help.

I was able to be my natural confident self

and answer all the questions.

**

I feel that my research and preparation for the interview

paid off

and God was merciful

gave me the ability to remember things I had studied

in the past and explain them well.

Thank you all for your love, support and prayers!

I really felt very loved and upheld

today

and am so thankful!

They are going to set up French testing for me

so this is still an issue

but it is in God's hands.

Small steps in the right direction

Found out today that my

French class will not be effected by

a potential strike!

Thank God for this.

Today I learned more prepositions,

am making questions and answers to various things

and it is making sense.

I can tell I am being prayed for!

However, I have yet to get all the rules strait for

the articles used for countries, cities and provinces.

And I have to get a lot of the vocab strait.

The hardest thing though

is that I am having a hard time hearing and saying

the words.

Especially words like

"un, une"

and "en, à"

I hope this will come and I will be working on it.

However, I welcome all suggestions!

We all have our own challenges and I pray that each of you will be

Cleo and I got the apartment! The Lease is Signed!

My lease was signed and dotted today after all!

It will be smaller, less cupboard space, smaller bedroom...

but it has everything I need and want:

*new apartment is only a block from where I am now

*wood floors

*separate bedroom

*laundry on site

*Super on site

*small balcony off bedroom with door

*elevators

*windows for Cleo to look out

God really helped me!

First saving me from the potential BAD

landlord / tenant relationship;

Second, this is the apartment I had wanted all along.

It had been listed before and was taken before I saw it;

opposite of my situation, the tenant who wanted it backed out,

so it came up for rent again.

Now it is mine.

All I want to know now is to be sure that the walls can be nailed in

so I can put my Icons up!

One thing at a time!

4 Month Contract

I got an unexpected call today from a former employer (government) who I loved working for. They said they have a 4 month casual (as in a short term contract) position that they want me for! The interview would be a formality!

This will give me enough money to live on, save money (in case I do not have work come September) for rent! It means I will not have to move out of my apartment! My little home!

WOW. This is the Lord's incredibly abundant mercy. A job where I know I am well thought of, that I have experience in and that I can walk to. And that I do not even have to have the nervousness of a real job interview. This could not of been better for me to rebuild my confidence and get another job on my resume.

Thank you for your prayers. Please pray for me that I can have a good informal interview (they told me what experience they want me to talk about) and that this can be a really good summer contract for me.
