Cookies for St. Nicholas Day

I've been baking cookies for St. Nicholas Day for the
last two weeks or so.
The recipes I use are here and here.
This year I baked some of them listening to this intriguing story:
The Princess Academy by Shannon Hale.

I read the reviews on Amazon and it sounds like an interesting book. I love reading Newberry books every once in a while because they are short and enjoyable:). Great job on the cookies! My house is decorated but I am behind on my Christmas cards and present buying!

What a homey scene. I love all your cast iron.
I have been baking cookies, too - but for Christmas. So they have to go into the freezer for now!

mmmm, cookies! I just bought some ingredients to start but I'm waiting until the end of the week when the kids will be here to help eat them.

I use cast iron too! Just found some extra at a yard sale for a friend and am gifting them to her for Christmas. I bet your house smells delicious with cookies baking :)
