Presentation of the Lord in the Temple...

I love this icon of St. Symeon holding Christ
and Christ reaching for His Mother and His
Mother looking at Him so lovingly...
I also love that candles are blessed at this service...
It was such a joyful day
and a delightful feast!

I've heard it's also called Candlemas! I wish our parish would start doing this....what a nice tradition.

Wanda, I know in the West it is called this but don't know if we do per say. I am glad for the blessed candles though!
