Thursday, wow this week is flying by

I really wanted to use beautiful dishes today so I did for breakfast!
Everyday beauty and prayer it should be intermingled I think within one's life and home....

I had quite the time writing the letter that's inside because I was using a ink I really liked but it had leaked and it was missing a paper piece that was originally part of the top of the bottle of ink on the inside. Anyway, I tried cleaning the bottle. It kept leaking in the sink. I threw it away in the end.  Eventually I may get more of that ink. It's cost $16 per bottle. The bottle was almost totally empty so I didn't actually lose that much.  But I think a bunch had adhered to the outside of the bottle. Maybe to the bottom of it when it leaked a few years ago and it just wasn't worth saving. And I tried. Let me tell you! Pink everywhere ..... It was this ink

The faded blue picture with tape on it is actually a deeper blue and is our flannel blue sheets for winter time.  Soon we will switch this to Summer sheets! Anyway, it was switched out today and I realized that there were two holes starting in the fitted bottom sheet! There's no way I'm going to actually fix them per se. So I use this fabric tape that can be washed. Better than losing the entire sheet.

This was a gift from a colleague of my husband's for me from China. It's a very delicate bookmark.

I got our tablecloth switched out to our Pascha one!  Our plastic tablecloth cover is so heavy that this very light tablecloth which is made by a machine but is basically lace is so light that I need to two of our marble bookends as you can see in the picture above to keep it from being moved while the plastic heavy tablecloth is put back!

I looked up this picture from last year because I couldn't remember what I used for a table setting.  I think I've used more than one thing but I just went with last year.

I have lots of books that I own and haven't read yet. This is one of them. I read the introduction quote and part of the first page. So that's all I can speak about! But I can say I really liked it.

I have lots of Orthodox books. This is one of them. The one I have a picture of above. But many of them I haven't read yet.  And because of various factors in my own life, I haven't actually been able to read much.  I mean in terms of non-fiction of that nature.

I'm so glad for every good thing.  Including rest.  And that I'm allowed to have it in my life right now.  Many people need physical rest and their life does not allow it.

May God have mercy on us.
