I am back from visiting with family
overseas;
Mr. Husband, my parents and I all spent a week
together in Holland.
Mr. Husband and I stayed on and went to Maastricht
(in South Holland)
and then Luxembourg.

Here's a few pictures.
I am posting this in advance.
I have a district feeling that I will need some time to rest when we return,
so if I do not do lots of blogging or blog commenting,
please do not worry, I am merely resting to reenter things again more fully.
I hope to be given time share a lot more about our trip!
Meanwhile...
Here are some highlights:
In Dokkum with Mr Husband's Cousin, Mr Husband and my parents. St. Boniface is strongly remembered here. |
Very old church in Winsum, a village in Northern Holland |
Mr Husband was esp. impressed by this 10 foot long Lotus flower.... |
We went to liturgy in Amsterdam and saw this very beautiful icon of St. Boniface! |
Mr. Husband took me to 2 quilt shops in Amsterdam! |
We spent an afternoon - early morning at a lovely monastery in Holland. |
We visited St. Servaas who is a very early Saint in Holland, over 1500 years. |
We had a very lovely beautiful breakfast in Maastricht |
Saw a very lovely small Orthodox Church in Maastricht. |
Saw St. Willibrord in Echternach, Luxembourg |
Had a very lovely afternoon cup of tea and rose petal ice cream at a fancy Parisian tea place near our hotel. Mr. Husband went with me! This means that Mr. Husband's hero status is increasing :) |

Lovely! Glad you had a wonderful time and are home safely.
That's a beautiful icon of St. Boniface. The place in Maastricht and tea cafe near your hotel both look so cozy and charming.
A lovely time for you! There's so much charm in European architecture, isn't there?
I am so happy for you both dear Elizabeth! What a blessing! Beautiful photos!
