Sunday in early October

Colder weather, a bit rainy.

Busy days.

Read books to my friend's young boys last two nights

and that was a delight.

*

Looking into buying two skirts online for work.

Work had some stressful days last week

and I am hoping for a better week to come.

*

Was at a baptism of a little baby yesterday;

beautiful.

*

I am behind on cooking for lunches.

Any smart quick suggestions?

*

Am also thinking of making a small roasted chicken for

Thanksgiving for a few friends;

would love to hear your suggestions for cooking this

and what your favourite Thanksgiving dishes are

(Canadian Thanksgiving is a week from Monday).

*

I am looking forward to the long weekend to come,

God willing.

Difficult Situations

My day was hard.

I am asked to do more and more. I work 4 days. This means I have 4 days (not 5) to do the work.

I am also asked to learn more and more (beyond just my outside of work online class). I honestly feel that my boss was saying that if I do not learn the various things (outside of work hours) within a few months time, that I am in direct jeopardy of losing my job. And she is expecting my online course to be done perfectly and for me to totally understand it all.

Yeah.

Please pray for me.

And please pray for my place of work, they need prayer too. I find that I care about them. When you are a librarian to a smaller group of people, you slowly get to know who they are. They are people and I care about them as people... they live and work in a corporate world that is really difficult...

Thanks for your prayers.

Big and smaller news

Wow. The OCA has a new Metropolitan. I listened to one of his last speeches before being elevated. I am impressed; I already had a good sense about him through the podcasts on Our Life in Christ, which is also on Ancient Faith Radio. Go here for the archives which has the podcasts of then Fr. Jonah.

This is huge. I rejoice in the hope I see in this change.

On a smaller note, I had a hard day at work. I feel under a lot of pressure right now at work and my house is non/dysfunctional as it is in boxes. The rest I need I do not feel I am fully getting. However, God has truly blessed me in that for the last few nights, I have not woken until 6 am. Before I was having insomnia, nightmares and waking at 3 AM. I pray I can continue in this better way. I have been struggling with exhausting and dizziness for the last few weeks. My previous job, back last Lent, was very overwhelming; I had increasingly strong episodes of dizziness during this time. This returned when I started my new job. It had lessened and disappeared. But now it is back and is very tiring. Until I move, I do not think it will get much better. (Btw I have been to the doctor more than once about this; I am told each time it is a virus and is stress-related).

I need a lot of help from God. Please pray for me.
