Progress for three projects

My yarn came!
The Lord is merciful ~ I have reasons for
wanting this new shipment for some things that need to be done
soon and will have a lot of time to work on them
in the near future,
so I am SO GLAD that it came so quickly!

I am almost done with my
Easter Baby Blanket
and will be casting on for another right
afterwards...

I got this wool for future projects.
A thin cream coloured wool.

Lots of colours for my yarn quilt.
I am getting pretty excited for this quilt!
I am hoping it will be a very
multi-coloured blanket for a loved
almost 5 year old.

Two more skeins and this one will be done.

For those in the States this weekend is a long weekend;
if I was still living in Canada it would of been last weekend...

What are you hoping to do for this weekend?

Pictures of transition

I am really missing this kitchen wall.

When ever I look at my buffet,

I miss it.

However, thank God I am here

in my new blue place

with so much potential,

albeit less space.

I must strive to remember the thankfulness I had

cleaning my new apartment

and hanging my Trinity Icon on the wall.

(It is now the first Icon one sees when my front door opens.)

And what a view.
+++
Tomorrow help is coming, thank God.
To do:
recycle boxes
put up table
fix shelf I tried to put up
move boxes off top shelves
fix bed that is tilting
To figure out:
One:
I need more lighting.
I have one more cool vintage lamp at home.
Will this be enough?
I am hoping so, as thrift is the name of the game.
Two:
where to put the rest of my Icons that are
still not up.
And I need to reposition one that I put up two days ago.
Three:
what to do with the others shelves I have and where
to put them...
Can't Wait!:
for things to find their proper place so that
a sense of space and light
can come back.
Love:
That Cleo my Cat is sitting next to me as I type this.
I do love that cat!

May have found my next apartment

Okay.
Once again I put in an application for an apartment.
They said I could put a washing machine in the apartment.
It is good, funky and wood floors.
Windows.
I can walk to church in about 15 minutes.
I am hoping that I will be approved.
I should know by tomorrow afternoon.
++++
It was wonderful to be at the liturgy celebrating St. John of Rila and
St. John of Kronstadt.
We had a wonderful meal afterwards
and some friends went with me to look at the apartment.
Many blessings.
+++
Between my beloved Cat Cleo waking me up early
and the time change,
I feel pretty tired!
Even when we gain an hour, it still throws me off.
It feels like nearly 8:30 and yesterday was 8:30 but
now only 7:30.
Crazy.

I am really hoping about this apartment and that
I can go on to the next step.
I am thankful that, though I am tired,
I also feel more at peace.

Outward Progression

My Georgia O'Keeffe poster, after 14 years waiting,

is framed and hung in my living room.

The two black and white prints

were done by my brother

some years prior.

I finally saw more trees and water.

By happy happenstance,

I was at a wonderful two year old's birthday celebration;

birds, water and water slides.

It was a perfect evening
after a beautiful day of sunshine.
I am thankful.
++++++++++++++++++++
On another note,
I have another meeting about French training
and am working on a few different cover letters.
I am praying that the sense of renewed hope,
that is slowly growing in me,
will stay awhile.

Brunch with a good friend

Friends are such blessings from God.
To light candles
pray over the food prepared
and talk and laugh
and read good poetry
is to be part of the celebration of
God's gifts to us.
Lord teach us to pray
and to be joyful in all Your gifts.
