And the end of another day

Today was hard on various levels.
It's Lent.
I did get dishes washed, counter clean.
I enjoyed hot oatmeal with raisins and honey after liturgy tonight.
***
Tomorrow I go to the Ophthalmologist for a second opinion;
I realized I confused some of you as I wrote about having
a phone call with my Optometrist.
Sorry about that.
I have 1 regular eye doctor - an optometrist - who is first rate
he is the one who first realized that I had a retina issue
and is by far one of the best I have ever had;
I also have 1 retina specialist - also first rate, could not be happier;
and tomorrow I see a cornea specialist, who has a very good reputation
and I hope is a good fit for me.
***
There is so much suffering in the world;
so much I see and hear about.
***
All I know is we need Christ and only Christ
can carry us to His holy Pascha, His Resurrection
and the hope for all the world.
***
May He so have mercy on us.

Praying for you; I have some experience with eye issues, too.

Ah... I'm glad you'll be seeing both retinal and corneal specialists. That's good. No matter how well-trained an optometrist, they usually don't have the same level of experience or expertise that the specialists have. I'm most interested in what you'll learn, and am praying that whatever the issues, they'll resolve with no lingering after effects.

Yes, it all boils down to the fact that we need Jesus, all the time! Only He can meet our needs, here and for all eternity! :)
