We were given some lovely maple syrup and fudge for Christmas!
I had forgotten that I can make crepes by hand very easily with my
baking bowl and wisk!
***
I had not made crepes in years...
I used to make them a lot when we were first married...
we had our honeymoon in Quebec City and a dear
church friend gave us a crepe pan and mix for our
wedding gift... and two cookbooks!
***
So that was super fun and I hope to make them again soon,
possibly Friday night.
***
Thanks everyone for your encouraging comments.
I was really tired and overpeopled by yesterday night,
plus life stuff.
***
Aunt Gert died on our Christmas Eve and I have not really
had time to process this fully yet.
***
And I can tell I got a ways to go on it.
Life is like that. It's not like you get 'days off' to process things,
and I am one of the fortunate ones!
***
Well, tomorrow I go to NYC.
It is very wise, I see, to make the most of the 12 days of Christmas.
I am much better and am working on things.
***
May God have mercy on us.

crepes!! like you, i haven't made those in years. perhaps i'll get inspired now. they used to be so popular. there was a crepe restaurant in the village, somewhere around greenwich avenue and christopher street i think. my memory is hazy but that's the general area. we used to eat there a lot.
i'm so glad that you are feeling better. have fun in nyc today!
Crepes are one of my favourite suppers. I find them so easy to make and so easy to find different fillings for. Last week when I made them I caramelized some bananas ( recipe on line) but that was more work than necessary.
I hope you were able to get to NY and had a lovely time.
