Packing, Mess, Cleo, Beauty and Love

Love.
My Aunt H. gave me this paper box when I was a kid.
I saved it and many of the papers.
They are all used now;
Mr. Husband wrote me many notes and cute poems.
They make me feel really loved.
I put them all back in the box today so they can be packed.

Mess.
We have boxes to be boxed,
boxes packed,
boxes everywhere...

Cell phone shots of things at home depot.

Closet doors I wish to have.

Beauty.
New icons up at church on our iconostasis.

Cleo apparently wants to be packed too :)
She's currently happily ensconced in this box,
in the sunshine,
bathing.
That's one way to not look at the mess of boxes... :)

9 months, 50 years

Two days off and on of
Mr. Husband not feeling well.
Lots of downtime,
water and gentle foods.
I am hoping he feels better soon
and that I stay as well as I have been.

We were invited to a beautiful
celebration of 50 years of marriage and service in the
church of one of the clergy-families that we know
near to us.
The liturgy and sermon on marriage was so
inspiring.

The reception was wonderful!
Words of steadfast love and
Son, it's not a life without a wife.

Mr. Husband and I were both inspired by
this beautiful time.
It was our 9 month anniversary of marriage,
merely newlyweds at a celebration of
50 years of marriage!

A Day in the City

I made it to NYC today!
Mr. Husband is away for work
and I met my new naturopath.
Here's to hoping that the mono will finally recede
with her help!
I am very much a fan of natural healing as much
as is possible...

Afterward, I took myself out for Thai.

It was good.
I love chicken curry.
I love also that I got to eat with chopsticks.
Of course I was emailing Mr. Husband as I ate...

Enjoying the beautiful and a bit less hot
weather today!

Thankful that I do not eat alone
too often now.

It was nice
but I still find NYC to be pretty intense.
*
So neat to use my Android phone and have it
show me via the maps and navigation feature
where to take transit back!
Yay for technology helping me not get lost!
*
It was nice to come home.

To the comfort of beauty
and icons and lit lampadas.

To be reminded of our Hope in Christ's Pascha.

And that our Guardian Angel is with us.
*
Truly,
we are never alone.
