We listened to the 3rd and 4th Tolkien CDs.
Enjoyed the soup and other things for both
lunch and dinner.
Mr Husband came back from NYC much earlier than expected.
It was so nice to have him home for lunch.
We watched a Walton's episode tonight.
We are hoping that Mr Husband stays well and does not relapse.
He has hopes of returning to his normal life, as it were, next week.
It was a fast free Friday and the end of our fast free week.
It's a lovely week; I know that at least at one
Orthodox Monastery, this is a week
where there is a lot more rest and freedom
and I know that this is a week to enjoy.
Lent is coming but somehow this more restful week
reminds me deeply that while Lent is coming,
so is Pascha with all of it's brightness and rest.

O Elizabeth, how I enjoy your posts and lovely vignettes of your cosy home!I truly hope Mr.Husband makes daily gains in strength.Could he return to work mid week or do shorter days initially?
My employer before I retired were accommodating when people had been sick for several weeks.

After reading your lovely posts these past few weeks, you have inspired me to participate in lent. And, it helps that I have a new parish church. I do hope that you and your husband continue to recover. You are a blessing to many of us. Pat xx
Such a pretty fruit salad. You inspire me to buy some kiwis, which I haven't done in years!
