On the 6th day of Christmas
I opened Elizabeth's Goudge's
and it is just lovely ~ both profound, comforting and cozy!

I restarted the shawl I started back in May of last year.
I ended up making mistakes, had to frog it,
and my beloved size 2 needles that were my Oma's
were no longer working (for this project that is)
So now I am using a new set of size four circular metal needles
and (mainly) the seed stitch and am about where I was before.

I have various ideas for the edging that I hope to do when it is finished.
It's a slow process as the yarn is so fine!

I had to rip out some knitting last week as well, but now I'm right on track! Lovely knitting :)
ReplyDeleteI love mink yarn!
ReplyDeleteHow fun that you are counting the days of Christmas...we've never celebrated them. I'll put that on my list so I can find some ideas for ways to engage the family...any suggestions? Sorry about your Oma's needles. :(

I had no idea she wrote a Christmas book! I'll have to look into that. Hope your shawl goes well this time.
ReplyDeleteThe book you're reading sounds very interesting. I hope your shawl knitting goes well this time. It's a lovely color of yarn you choose.
