Blanket Strips Done & Our Christmas Tree

The blanket stripes are done!
This picture is a bit mute on the colour of it but I am
almost done weaving in all ends!
Question: do I bind off completely before
picking up stitches for the boarder? I think I do...
*
I have chosen one of the red yarns for the boarder
and hope to start on this by Sunday in the car ride to church :)

It's a busy time of year but I am reading snatches of
A lovely re-read.

Our Christmas Tree!!
I got the presents wrapped yesterday!

What are you creating and reading?
Any Christmas Joys in decorating? :)

  3. NO! Don't cast off. What direction are you doing the border? I'm assuming you are doing it perpendicular to the rest of the knitting (like on this shawl http://www.ravelry.com/projects/paulaayn/sgiach-shawl). Just cast on what you need and when you come to the live stitches knit the last stitch and the live stitch together. It will keep your edges stretchy. Hope this makes sense.

  5. The blanket looks nice and cozy and right on time for winter. Your tree is so pretty; I like the way you arranged the ribbons around it. Seems you are keeping on target with your impressive organization list. It is looking very festive at your home.
