Akathists

Akathists are prayer services
that anyone can pray at home.
They are written to
the Holy Trinity
Our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ
The Mother of God and
for feast days of
Saints in the Orthodox Church.
*
This page is to provide links to as many Akathists as
I find online in English.
The ones that I only have not found online but have
either a PDF or MS Word file are starred*
I will be happy to email these to you.
Just write me here.
I wrote my original post on this topic here.

  4. I have a large number of Akathists that I will post on a Blog over the next several months. Some I cannot post because they are copyrighted. I have found many of them on the web - and then they "go away!" A shame that internet postings are so temporary!

  6. Truly He is Risen!

I have not found this Akathist, though there is a service to him found here: http://www.sjkp.org/downloads/Menaion%20catalog.pdf

I found the 2012 link that mentions the approval: http://byztex.blogspot.com/2012/12/russian-church-approves-multiple-new.html

I am pretty sure though that I had an akathist to St. John of S. and SF well before 2012. So not sure what that means or if it was a different newly written one.

If you ever find one of St. Symeon or others, do email me! :) or send me a comment! :)
