Our far-away church had their first ball!
I got my dress in Georgia at a consignment shop,
with my nieces giving fashion advice!
My Husband's tie was a gift from a lady (a teacher?) at an early graduation
years ago.... it's a lovely tie and I was so glad he wore it!
The food was lovely,
the Russian music lively,
the decorations perfectly done,
I was so happy to see so many young people having fun!
And it was nice to see various church friends, near and far, dressed up
for a happy event!
Personally it was a real confirmation that the former unbloggable +
blogged difficulties are over for us;
two years ago I went to the same place for a wedding reception
on this farm property, in this renovated but old beautiful barn, with a

newly broken foot/ankle and it was so wonderful to be back,
fully walking, happy and well!
It was a lovely time!
I am already thinking, as they hope to make this an annual event,
what will I wear next year? :)
Meanwhile, it was a wonderful event and I, as are so many others,
so proud of the young ladies who had the idea
and made it happen,
with the help of many others!
