Sunday, dreaming of Christmas....

So, I totally had a bad sleep last night!
It was partly I was too wound up I think, among other things....
Well.... so it goes!
It was still great to be at liturgy at our far-away church.
On the way back we listened to a narration of the first two
stories in Hans Christian Anderson's Snow Queen which was really
quite enjoyable and captured my attention.
It was a blessing to have a nap later!
It's cold but not at all snowy here.
I feel a bit scattered, as in I have a trip to the mall to do this week,
baking to do this week, am going to NYC Thursday after liturgy,
at my local church, and am needing to write our Christmas letter,
wrap presents, prepare gifts for mailing,
order my Munchkin a St Nicholas gift, prepare my Husband's
St Nicholas gift (and one of mine LOL), do family gift buying/shipping and so it goes.
I don't know if I will get any more Christmas baking before the new year.
I am not sure when I am going to fit in making my Christmas tea.
On Friday I need to go back to the shoe repair place to pick up my boot that
is having the zipper replaced, really hope that works out!... so a very busy time...
But that's how it is and it will all work out, I hope and pray.
We had a nice evening,
finished the cake from the St Nicholas day lunch, which I enjoyed the last little
bit of red wine with from the same lunch, and we watched another Walton's episode!
Do you see Cleo 'hiding' in the table cloth in the last picture?
I think she was enjoying the fabric, she loves to lay and sit on various fabrics....
She's a funny one, that Cleo Cat :)
I am dreaming of the 12 days of Christmas and having some time to SIT, read and
eat lots of yummy food.
But for now, will prepare.
I keep dreaming of making more food,
like a vegan version of this potato curry but really,
I don't have time and there's more fish days and 'wine and oil days'
so we will be having more Pasta :)
But at least we like it and it's good with spinach salads.
Well. I thank God that I have been able to do so much already this season....

  1. My goodness, Elizabeth! That is a lot on your plate, and I'm not talking about the cake! Take care of yourself, please rest, and remember that Christmas will come and we will sing, "Christ is born! Glorify Him!" no matter if you bake or buy or wrap one more thing, so be at peace. Love to you in Christ!

  2. How do you find the time!
Build in a little quiet and peaceful moment when you can stop.

  5. Hello Elizabeth, You certainly sound very busy but in a good way. At least I hope that's how you feel. Thank you for your sweet note. I tried to answer it and hope I got your email correct. Blessings to you.
