My help commented that she would have a harder time
than I am having with my situation.
But I have learned that if one gives into self-pity,
it's a never-ending mire.
So today I made a bunch of cards.
A friend of mine is having surgery tomorrow,
I ask your prayers.
I am doing some exercises to keep strength up.
I have 33 wash cloths knit now.
I am watching
When Calls the Heart on Netflix and really liking it.
My priest brought me Holy Communion today.
I am so thankful for it.
I have a month left of bed-rest left.
I am trying to keep busy and be thankful for all that I have.
This prayer was one of the best things I read today.
Hello there, Elizabeth! So good to catch up with you and see you are doing OK. You are half way there. :) So glad you have been having so many good things to enjoy and lift you during these days. And how busy you have been... That is a HUGE stack of wash cloths--and such happy colors! Prayers and all good wishes for your friend's health... Your handmade cards are lovely. Somehow things become easier when we step outside of ourselves and concentrate on others. When Calls the Heart is sweet, isn't it?! I'm slow to visiting. I was low this week with persistent migraine headaches, so just now coming back up to the surface. We also had an electrician here twice this week doing work--less power and internet access...so now catching up. Be taking good care there... God Bless you, my friend ((HUGS))
ReplyDeleteIt's so good to hear from you Elizabeth and know that you are doing well. I admire your strength during this difficult time. The washcloths are so pretty and colorful. And, the cards are lovely. Praying for you, Pat xx
