(our trip back home) ~ Lovely, Vintage Diner

Such a lovely, cheery, clean
red 1950's diner.
Mr. Husband and I got some toast there,
on our way home, still woozy from being sick,
but so thankful for being able to drive home.

  3. The jukebox makes me think of Zak's dinner in the Byward Market. You must have gone there a few times, right? Great milkshakes. I miss that place...sigh...

  4. It was a lovely place!!!

Nancy, I forgot about Zak's!! I went there 2x I think, once with family and once with my sister-friend! It's fun! I'd say that this diner was more authentic though, at least when I was at Zak's it seemed to be new stuff that looked retro.... our local diner here in NJ has the BEST milk shakes. If you are ever in NYC, do let me know, I will take you there!

Thanks everyone! It was cool, cheery and very clean!

    1. Yes, you're right, Zak's is a recreation, not original. How neat to be able to go to a real retro diner. For sure, if I'm ever down your way, I'll let you know.
