On the third day of Christmas we had more snow!
A lovely reprise of our Christmas dinner,
with two new candles that we were given
this Christmas!
I love the light of candles ...
part of the truth of Christmas:
in the bleak winter,
light has come.
I've been loving using our Christmas dishes!
We had a bit of ice cream with chocolate with orange sauce
for dessert.
And we opened a few of our presents...
A Chesterton book and a Goudge book!
Which Goudge book?
ReplyDeleteGirls Gone By Press have just reprinted "Henrietta's House" and "Sister Of The Angels" :-)

Joy of the Snow!
ReplyDeleteSister of Angels I got in 1st ed from my Mom for Christmas!!!
I still need to get Henrietta's house!!
Wonderful, all of it, but especially the books at the end! The Joy of the Snow is a fascinating look into her life and I've re-read it several times over the years, always seeming to find something more. Enjoy!
ReplyDeletePS: If you have trouble finding Henrietta's House, it was also published as The Blue Hills (in case you didn't already know that).
ReplyDeleteSo lovely that Christmas lasts for 12 days!
