A Light in the Window, GKC & Blanket Stripes

My textured Blanket is progressing!
I admit to feeling impatient with it,
as it feels like I am never making the progress
I mean to make!
But I have done a few stripes since last week
so am pleased with that...

And I am pleased with how it is going
and think it will be a great and warm
lap blanket!!

I am on a Jan Karon kick.
Explains how why my wish for
even more blanket progress
is not happening! :)
I am just enjoying the Fr. Tim saga a lot;
I read it years ago and it is a joy to reread;
I am finding it a lovely cheery and bright place to be.

Also reading The Man Who Was Thursday by GK Chesterton
for an Advent Read along with
So far the book seems very much classic Chesterton
and very well written.

  3. The blanket is awesome! I would be so scared to take on such a large project - it would take me years to finish I'm afraid. I love the colors you are using!

  4. Your blanket looks like progress to me! Blankets are so tedious that way though. So pretty!

  5. I give you props for even starting a blanket. I don't think that I would have the patience to keep up on something so large. Your blanket is looking great and I know you'll finish it. :)

  6. As long as you can keep increasing by a few stripes you are definitely making progress. Your blanket has a great color combination.

  7. Blankets are incredibly time-consuming, but enormously satisfying when you complete them.

  8. I love The Man Who was Thursday! It was the first Chesterton I read I think ... my dad read it to me as a bedtime story. :)

  9. Be patient, blankets take a while. It's looking great. I like Jan Karon too, I read a Christmas one of hers a while ago.

  10. this is such a good 'blanket' time of year.....keeps you warm as you knit...and slow and steady WILL win this 'race' to the end.

  13. Blankets are hard because you plateau and they feel like they'll never end! I have several blankets in progress I need to work on. *guilt*

    I too am rereading the Mitford books! Very cozy reading!
