I was given these roses the evening
of our Christmas dinner.
They are wonderfully fragrant
and the scent of roses
is deeply uplifting to me.

I am finding this very timely.
Do read it, as it will challenge our
'run and do everything' lifestyle that many of us
live within.
Since the Christmas dinner on Monday,
I have had times when I am feeling quite tired...
So I am resting...
...not expecting great things
out of myself...
actually, I have been thinking a lot about my life
and the smallness of it.
And you know, that smallness of it is wonderful.

We may be having a snow storm this weekend...
I hope to have the strength to go to the store this afternoon
to get a few things to be sure we are ready for it.

I am grateful to be alive,
to be married to Mr. Husband and have
a small life lived with faith in God.
I'm very tired these days too. I think it's the grey days. Enjoy the resting, it's what you need. You can work on your knitting :)

Beautiful roses!
ReplyDeleteYour pink roses are just gorgeous! Thank you so much for another good book suggestion! I just checked and our library has the one you mentioned and so have ordered it. They don't have any others in the series so hope it won't be a problem that I am reading it out of order.....
ReplyDeletesmall things are the best. Rest is wonderful. Roses are beautiful! And faith? Priceless!
ReplyDeleteA lovely post, my friend. :)

Your life that you call "small" is very inspiring to me and is certainly loved by God. May you have a nice blessed day, sweet dear friend!
