Yarn Quilt Squares for today's Yarn Along

I am making a
yarn-quilt or
in other words
a patch-work like style blanket that I am creating.

I am knitting rectangular pieces that I wish to
stitch or sew somehow into a blanket.
The above one is a cream square (as it were).

And this is a Marina blue one.
I am not sure how it will turn out
since I am creating it myself and
doing it for the first time
but I hope it will be something
that the 4 year old boy will love!
