St. Nicholas Day

Liturgy was a joy.

And added to that joy was that my

close friend and her son

my godbaby

were able to join us.

I got to hold my godson for most of the liturgy

and bring him to communion.

It was so special.

I have my house almost clean again.

A friend from library school

is visiting me overnight tomorrow

and that will be really nice.

I have not seen her in some years now.

I love St. Nicholas Day.

He is such a special Saint...

  1. I forgot about St Nicholas day until I saw your last post this afternoon. Not used to Old Calendar, but I guess I'll get used to it.

  3. Oh dear Elizabeth, just catching up on your blog and please accept my deepest sympathies to you and your family. Know that we will keep you all in our prayers. And may your Oma's memory be eternal. Peace and goodness to you especially during this time of loss.

  4. Our little God sons live far away, so I rarely get to take them to Communion. It's lovely when you get the chance, isn't it?
