Back in the saddle again...

I am back in French language school again.
My cold is almost completely gone...
In class, I felt overwhelmed by all I feel I did not fully learn
in the past 6 weeks
and now we begin again with more learning;
thankfully we are doing a bit of review at the beginning
but still
there is so much to learn.
I need God's mercy and help.
***
It seems that when I begin a new class,
even though things are no longer new
it still consumes a lot of my time;
my blogging or comments maybe
sparse for a while
but I am still reading...
***
I find the French learning
a challenge but also not having a job;
I still feel like my life was derailed this past year
with all that went on;
it is hard to have the patience to see things
through...
It sure is lent!
***
May God help us and protect us.

  2. Perfection in a language is something you acquire over time!
    Didn't you feel a little wobbly on the bicylcle when you first learned how to ride it? Here you learned the skill to coordinate mind and body by practising over and over again.
    Becoming proficient in another language is also a skill that requires constant repetition.It
    involves your mind by coordinating what you see and hear,and by training your memory, but also your body by using appropriate body language. There is nothing wrong with making mistakes or forgetting things when you first start out!Be proud of all the things you do remember from this first course and keep plodding away.Bonne chance!

  4. I'm sorry that you are feeling overwhelmed, Elizabeth. It is so hard to learn something new... especially something that you find challenging. I will be thinking about you and praying for you.

    I am so glad that you are feeling better!

  5. Hello Blue Eyes.

    The derailed feeling is pretty horrible but somehow it is for a reason although I realise that is easy to say.
