I have been thinking about living in the moment.
It is true that I will not be able to stay in my apartment.
But today I am in it.
And it is good.
And though I do not yet know what tomorrow is,
this is not my concern.
I have to worry only about today,
just as Jesus tells us to.
I hope to relax more
as in do not worry
and remember the song
this is the day, this is the day that the Lord has made ...
we will rejoice and be glad in it.
What a wonderful post.

thank you Julia!
ReplyDeleteA very good post. I often find it so hard not to worry about tomorrow and it can be so spiritually damaging. The enemy very much wants us to live in a tomorrow that never comes so that, to borrow your quote, we never actually rejoice in the day the Lord has given us.
ReplyDeleteYes and amen!
ReplyDeleteM - yes. exactly that.
ReplyDeleteE-H - thanks.

ReplyDeleteoops on previous comment! I love the photo of the falls. When I have more time, I will try to figure out the cutting/pasting issue with blogger (re: my last post). And I love O'Keefe - she is an inspiration.
